I enjoy coloring hair.  I want to provide and promote henna and plant-based hair coloring services that are safer for you and your hairdresser.  I am always happy to answer questions and reduce your doubts or fears of using plant based colors. My goal is to make henna and plant colors available to as many women and hairdressers as possible and get them to stop using synthetic chemical hair colors.

Why I Only Use Natural Hair Dye

I have been a professional hair colorist since 1999. In 2006, I became very ill after too much exposure to synthetic hair colors, hairsprays, and the fragrances used in hair styling.  After numerous rounds of detoxing and major nutritional changes I was able to heal.  In 2010, I opened Beauty Within in Santa Barbara.  I emphasize various types of beauty services that do not involve using toxins.  I have been experimenting with organic color lines; but sometimes the color faded quickly or were still too toxic.

Fortunately, I learned the fundamentals of working with henna from Lisa Megumi of Megumi Organic Salon in Honolulu.  She too, is sensitive to synthetic hair products and has ditched the PPD!  I learned how to formulate and achieve various colors and developed my own creativity and techniques. The best part is, I am not exposing myself or my customers to harsh fumes - I can continue my love for color and hair using Mother Earth's colors.

I am a very health conscious, spiritually in-tune person, love healthy foods and raw juices. It's important to my clients and me, that I stay strong and healthy to give you my best work and assist you in your healing needs as well.  I treat all of my clients with love and attention.  Call me, if you are interested about the wonderful world of henna and what it can do for your hair.  I look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,
